Born and raised in the South, Wilson Brannock understands the true meaning of hospitality. He got his start in the food and beverage industry right out of high school, working as a barback at a local restaurant in Atlanta, GA. He thrived in the fast-paced environment, learning from each new challenge and experience, while creating memories along the way. In 2017, Wilson joined the team at Indigo Road Hospitality Group, where he worked as a server at O-Ku in Atlanta, GA. Making his way from bartender to bar manager to assistant manager, Wilson’s leadership skills shined. He went on to assist with the opening of two new O-Ku locations in Washington D.C. and Nashville, TN before going on to serve as the Assistant General Manager at Indigo Road’s Nashville outpost of Oak Steakhouse. Wilson moved to Charleston to join the opening team at Maya as General Manager, where he takes a hands-on approach to managing the team, including setting goals both inside and outside of the restaurant. In addition to building connections with guests, “the quality of life of the staff is always at the forefront of my mind,” he says. When he’s not at Maya, you can find Wilson spending time by the water, whether that’s fishing or learning to surf.
